Real Estate Update For Coachella Valley

What’s Happening in Housing Around the Coachella Valley

As we approach the middle of August this would normally be the “slow” selling season in the desert.  It gets hotter, there is normally less activity, and the snow birds have all left for the summer. COVID-19 has changed all of that and brought a whole new perspective and sales dynamic to our market.  More and more people are leaving the big city to enjoy all that desert living has to offer. From being able to spread out, to enjoying the hotter weather, and a much more relaxed and stress free lifestyle.  For the most part our inventory remains at a pretty  low level.   Time on market is also quite reduced especially given the time of year.  Having purchased our home in Sun City Shadow Hills last year at this time, I can tell you the sense of urgency to make an offer quickly is much greater this year from the same time frame last year.  We searched for 60-90 days and were able to take our time to find the perfect home for us.  Several of our other choices were still available after we closed escrow on our home.  This year you need to act a little quicker to avoid getting shut out.  All in all this a a Great Time to Sell!
